This was a nice hotel, clean and good value for money. I only spend one night there but would rebook it again when back in Nice. Very close to the beach and the shopping areas, about 20min walk from Old Nice. |

"Nice for the price"
A very nice hotel. It was very clean, comfortable, and in an excellent location on a tree-lined street. It is a ten or fifteen minute downhill walk from the train station and five or ten minute walk to the water.
The breakfast room was very nice, but neither cereal nor decaffinated coffee.
The gal at the front desk, Toryll, was very helpful. Most of the guests seemed to be from Scandanavia. I would stay there again if in Nice.

"Nouvel Hotel, Nice"
We stayed at the Nouvel Hotel in June 2004. It was clean, and in a good position for restuarants and the beach (10 minutes walk away) The area was pleasant and quiet. Overall a very good choice.

"Highly recommended"
Stayed here for a week at the end of May, 2005.
The hotel's location is excellent as it is close to everywhere you would want to visit. Main shopping street - 2 minutes, beach - 10 mins, Old Town - 15mins.
The staff could not be bettered. Nothing was too much trouble. There was one girl at the desk who seemed to work very long hours and who was extremely helpful and efficient. I don't know her name, but she was an attractive girl who wore glasses.
Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
The area around the hotel is very pleasant as it is located in a tree lined avenue.
The breakfast is something of an experience. Everything is placed upon a tray and I must confess I never actually got to grips with where I was supposed to cut and butter the croissant.
All in all this is an excellent budget priced hotel and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

"Great for first time visitors"
A quiet but very agreeable hotel. Arrived in middle of the night, tired and just wanting sleep, greeted by a member of desk staff fluent in english. Just the kind of thing we needed to perk us up. We eventually crashed into our soft comfortable beds after a long day of travelling. We paid extra for a junior suite which consisted of an extra bathroom and large lounge area with seats, a fridge, a desk, several lamps and a balcony. It cost an extra £15 per night, plus VAT came to just over £100 for the week long stay, which makes it highly recommended. We loved the central location, great for first timers like us. Minutes away from the main promenades, with a beautiful Olde English style church next door. The only drawback was the tatty interior of the room, in particular the grubby curtains. We enjoyed this hotel and would stay again.

"Great breakfast and quiet location"
My mom and I stayed at the Nouvel Hotel for two nights in July. It was our first time in Nice and we really enjoyed it! The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the beach and Rue Massena where there are tons of people and restaurants (and gelato!). It is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a quieter area that is still near the action. We spent a lot of time outdoors. Old Nice is great and easily walkable. I also recommend going hiking in the hills between Old Town and the Port. The cemetary is amazing! I would definitely stay at the hotel again--they were nice and the breakfast was wonderful :). Not the newest but evetything is in great condition plus theres a decent lift (for European standards).

"Quiet, clean, good location and affordable"
Rooms were reasonably priced and within a few minutes of pedestrian streets and the promenade. Can't seem to avoid that musty smell no matter where you stay or shop, but c'est la vie! The marble lobby was impressive for such an inexpensive hotel. Would stay here again because of the great deal. |
