"Excellent treatment at the Boscolo Plaza"
I had already booked a last minute deal at the Boscolo Plaza when I read the reviews. Since I was taking an elderly lady who had been ill, I was horrified by what I read, and tried to cancel. Last minute.com said this was impossible without a penalty of around £150 out of a total cost of £408. So I telephoned the hotel, and spoke to a receptionist called Sandra. She was sympathetic and reassuring, and promised "a nice room, and a free upgrade to a bigger one if available" On arrival, Sandra greeted us. We were early, but the upgraded room was ready. It had 3 beds, lots of space, was at the back of the hotel and very quiet, and the beds were possibly the most comfortable I have encountered away from home. I have stayed in 2 other 4 stars in Nice, and the Boscolo Plaza compared very favourably.
I had occasion to use the business centre - it's a pity there is no internet access fom the rooms, but I had no difficulty in accessing the centre.
Over all, I would certainly stay in room 335 again, and the staff were superb - although I suspect it helps if you speak some French

"Great location, great restaurant, too bad about the rooms"
This hotel is in a fabulous location; just blocks to the beach and Vieux Nice. The rooftop restaurant is really excellent, too.
Unfortunately, the rooms can only be described as being decorated in a "dorm room" style. What little furniture is in the rooms is old and chipped, and/or made out of faux wood. The beds are hard, and kings are two singles slapped together.
The service at the front desk is spotty at best, but to be fair, we were there at a very busy time. Perhaps off-season puts them in better moods.
The in-house breakfast is very good and a steal at 10 EU per person. Hot and cold items, lots of choices and very good coffee.
The roof-top restaurant has wonderful, artistic food and excellent service as well. The location is of course superb, with views from the airport all the way beyond Castle Hill. Be warned though, they close the restaurant when it gets too windy.

"enjoyed everything"
This was our second visit to Nice. We chose the Plaza after looking at various hotels on our first trip. After booking, we were horrified to read the reviews in Tripadvisor - and almost cancelled. We are now delighted we did not.
Our de luxe room, on the fifth floor, was spacious and spotlessly clean with a marvellous view of the bay and gardens. Everything was in full working order, including the sound proofing and air conditioning. The balcony was large enough for two loungers and a table and chairs where we had many enjoyable meals.
The hotel breakfast room had sufficient tables to cater easily for the guests and the staff were always attentive and pleasant. The breakfast itself was plentiful and varied, particularly in choice of fresh fruit.
The hotel was extremly well managed, clean and the staff were always helpful and supportive. Never failing to wish us the time of day.
We only dined in the roof terrace restaurant. We found the food a delight.
Yes, we would love to stay there again and recommend the Plaza to any of our friends.

"Great restaurant,Great staff"
We didn't stay at this hotel,but we dine in.
We were looking for a nice restaurant for St Valentine's day and we found it.
Restaurant Les Saveurs at Boscolo Plaza,the food is great,very testing,the staff service was very helpful and very nice.
special thanks for the restaurant manager(Alexandre)who help us during the diner,we had a great time.
Next time we will try this hotel.

"Great accommodations"
Our trip was arranged by our adult children as a gift, and we found their selection of the Boscolo Hotel Plaza superb. Our room was more than spacious and the "continental" breakfast more than continental! It included fresh fruit, cheeses, breads and pastries as well as hot selections of eggs and meat, fresh juices, coffee & expresso. The staff was very friendly and although not flluent in English, they were eager to please. The lobby was first class of marble & brass & set the pace for our stay. For some the only downer might be the location on the main Victor Hugo Blvd., but traffic noise wasn't an issue inside. There's a park & fountain directly across the street, and beautiful shops at street level on the front & side of the hotel. The train station was some distance, but close enough to walk & gave a chance to observe some of the local residents (& homeless). I observed that most of the homeless managed to have a dog and some leaned forward enough that without being careful, you might trip over them "causing" you to feel badly & therefore donate, which we did not. Dog poop is an issue in Nice as we had been told, but you simply need watch your step & you'll be shoe-clean.

"Great Hotel! I would definitly stay here again and again..."
This hotel is great! The rooms are huge... and very comfortalbe (except for the beds). The hotel is centrally located and is a short walk to the center of town and beach. The lobby is pretty luxurious and nicely decorated. The bathroom amenities were extra nice too (Etro). The concergie was very helpful as well. Overall, this is a very Nice hotel, literally! Word to the wise, Nice does not have sandy beaches (they have small pebbles/rocks, so take the train 15-30 minutes to "Juan de Pin" or "Caines" for sandy beaches. Monte Carlo is also 15 minutes away by train as well.

"Very happy hour or two"
Lovely meal in the restaurant here, very refined cooking,
Maitre'd and staff were most attentive
Ground floor bar is pleasant and has a "happy hour" from 5pm to 6pm when drinks are two for the price of one.
You can have the bill added to your Boscolo hotel bill
even if its another hotel in the group/City
Service was excellent, as was the food.

"A pleasure to stay in"
I approached my stay at the plaza with apprehension,I need not have been concerned the room was lovely ,light & airy the decor of the room & hotel was excellent & the staff were helpful & friendly,the location could not have been bettered we really enjoyed our stay.
